I'd make a world with candy cane fences,
where everybody swam in the sky
and sucked on cotton candy clouds.
I'd make a world of cherry-lollipop trees,
where chocolate fountains were in every park
and free strawberries to dip on the bushes.
I'd make a world of mint- and ice cream scented winds,
where the beach smelled of fresh bread
and the waves smelled of blossoms.
I'd make a world of birdsong and voices,
where music notes float along in little groups
waiting to be caught out of the hair and put forth into song.
I'd make a world where the stars came down each night
to check on the children assigned to them,
and take them on rides around the universe.
I'd make a world where mommies kissed daddies
and little birds went to tell storks,
who dropped diamonds under cabbages
to be picked up by the mommies and daddies
and grow into babies.
I'd make a world full of happy families,
with parents and grandparents and great-grandparents
and no lonely children.
I'd make a world with one easy language,
so everybody can understand each other
and everybody can read.
I'd make a world where everybody believed in God and in Heaven,
and that there was no death, and that life always goes on,
just through those Pearly Gates and past St. Peter.
I'd make a world where everybody had magnifying glasses
so they could look at people
and see more than just their skin color.
I'd make a world where everybody had stethoscopes,
so they could hear all those unheard voices,
all those lilting little heartsongs.
where everybody swam in the sky
and sucked on cotton candy clouds.

where chocolate fountains were in every park
and free strawberries to dip on the bushes.

Author notes
Kinda strange. It started out really fantasy-like, then sort of changed to my wishes about families, like the families of my friends or me, and then that part about the magnifying glasses is because I HATE racism (seriously, it sucks to be called 'yellow'), and that last little part is just somethin'.

I think I would make that world too. The part about stars with assigned children and the last 3 lines were both my favorite. I'm a child at heart, so everything from the candy to the heartsongs stuck out for me. :]
Good luck

Thanks for the comment! Not feeling any pain is a great idea... both physical AND mental/spiritual pain.
