Some call us heroes
But we are not
For we're only doing our duty
Fighting for our country
Some put us down
Like we have a choice
Live a day in our boots
And still feel the same way
We have a duty
Many won't dare
With many challenges
On many different levels
What are we to you
Do you support us
Or boo and mock us
If you support us
We thank you
If you boo us
Do you even know us

I don't think many understand what it's like to be a soldier. To be a soldier is to want peace, not war. If not for the soldier who believes in peace, then the world would truly live in anarchy, but those are my thoughts. I still recall an old Army commercial years ago where it would state that a soldier does more before 9am... which is the truth! I want to thank you for your entry into the following contest: "Already On My Favorites."

PS: Your entry has been blessed by the three wise clappers, but don't spend the whole nine points in one place(lol)!

What Are My Thoughts ?
There comes a time when we "the people" must make personal choices even if it means going against the establishment. I would rather go to jail than go and fight in Iraq - we (Canadians) had 5000 troops in Vietnam - they choose to go even though our government was staying out of it. - Joe ------------------------------ make peace not war
