To read the news from ‘cross the sea
I think I like the pictures most
A plane crashed off the Iv'ry Coast

When you grow big you’ll be like me
The potty is the place to be
I check the paper everyday
And try to aim so I don’t spray

Sometimes an odor I emit
It happens when I read this shit
The potty is the place to be
I concentrate and that’s the key

It seems I leak from every hole
When I sit on the toilet bowl
The paper makes me laugh and pee

    this really made me laugh. there is noyhing like a good potty-dump and reading the paper. In fact, I was trained on the potty with a book to look at. No wonder I now need to work my brain as I do my daily duty and take my poop.

    I clicked on this one because I love the library, I work there, so, imagine my great guffawing surprise when I read the news here. Not only a surprise title, but I just this minute made my son spray the potty room after his stinky use, and then I read this...my god you are funny and so talented Amera. The baby pic is adorable!     Well written, with good use of metre and enough wit to justify the crude humour. To use such words as "shit" and "piss", even Shakespeare did, but good wit must be employed, of else is ugly and childish. Good choice on the couplet too, the best style for this type of poem. It's what I have been using of late.

    I just read another poem using the same picture and i have to admit both are well done. While one was more serious this one has a much lighter side. A very well written take on the prompt.
