she smiles in spite of her sorrow
the torments of her past
and as her breathing ebbs,
she reaches into the confines
of her mind
to see the beauty of the world.
She smiles and closes
her beautiful green eyes
those happy days are over,
for he is standing upon her,
and her smile quickly fades.
When he breaks into his hands
she cries, only a little,
such a beautiful young child,
such a sorrow filled
life.
And when he strikes again,
her father (so she thought)
yells for her crying to end,
and so she does.
She sifles those sobs,
emanting from her already
Decaying lungs.
Author notes
Okay Used the "Decaying lungs" option. I tried to capture the sadness of the child being abused, and how, he was slowly killing her...and she just couldn't cry anymore...best of luck judging.
