One day...

One day
when everything
will disappear
in the weightless time
of eternity,
when the noun love
and adjective white
will be just words,
the warmth of touches
will live
in our carnal memories
and we will stay hugged
with lips
in an eternal
incorporeal kiss.

Author notes

Other things may disappear but Love is an energy which will follow us to eternity.

Thanks to all of you who read it and who left your comments and to all of you who will read it. Probably I will leave my comments about your poetry too.

I don't know how on earth I'm going to judge this contest...! This poem of yours have such a wonderful soothing quality about it and reminds me the works of Rumi, and other great masters. This is so very beautiful in its simplicity, Sonja.

Thank you for sharing such graceful thoughts.

I love the beauty you express in this...that love is everlasting. It may come and go between people, but somewhere, it is there, and will return. Excellent penning

wow this has literally made me speechless. i honestly love this. many have tried to describe love, and how it seems to be an unending force, and i think you've succeeded admirably. love the end especially.

it's always interesting to see what people think will become of us once we are gone, what will survive. thank you for writing this, it made me smile.

  • I can see the love is transformed into its original universal form and making this, you have made this mortal body a subject of the eternity as well..love the simple yet a deep poetry by you...

time, hiding arogantly behind its undeserved impunity to kill dreams and lives and loves, and yet made to look so insignificant in the face of words of such deep belief in the one thing bigger than time: eternity. the eternity of carnality, of kiss, of touch. this is not just a poem it is a philosophy to live by. beautiful.

Lovely & profound, my Friend. I have always said that the only thing we may take when we go & the only thing we may leave behind is Love...the greatest legacy of all. Good luck in Nicolette's contest, Sweetie.
