I stand upon the rise,
Next to mother nature's steadfast creations.
The rough bark of the tree scrapes along
My fragile skin as I caress my mother's gift
To this Earth.
Leaves of pure emerald tickle my cheeks,
Lulling me to close my eyes and dream.
Taking a deep breath, I press against them,
Encouraging the reaching innocent greens
To envelope me in safety.
Dropping to my knees,
My hands splayed out beside me in the grass,
The little dancing magnetic tendrils
Pull at me;
Encourage me to draw into the soil
And rest in its rich embrace.
I regain my tall height,
My proud stance of the goddess I am.
There the wind touches me,
Asking me to waltz through the sky,
Holding its delicate hand.
However I must resist.
I close my eyes and build up the power within me,
Until I feel I should burst.
Then I release my built up energy
To feed the nature and give life.
My essence drifts off into the world,
Where I am finally free to dance with the wind,
Delve within the soil,
And make love to the trees.
Mother Nature's daughter
It is forever my duty
To continue on my mother's beginning
And let the Earth prosper.
