Contempt

Craving vengeance with vituperation,
Obliging the soul to feast upon hearts,
Negotiating naught but hatred's defense,
The test of time proves bitterness.
Employing the heart to harden as brass,
Manipulating forgiveness to be extinct,
Proving "I can behold grudges forever",
The beast never sleeps.
