Dyslexic Visions

Missing image
Perhaps emotions are but a muse
To awake the spirit to lucid dreams
Dreams beyond the bounds of illusion
Freed from life’s sorrow and strife
Forming these fleeing elusive visions
Into living in a different dimension

One of splendor found in divine realms
In the shadows behind these eyes
Inspirations to create dyslexic visions
Cast from metal; written in flowing ink
Sculpted of wood; captured on film
Brushed from hues of green earth

Mixed hammered, glued into artistic creations
From the dyslexics visions without bounds
Without regard to critical reviews
Finally true to my self; letting go in faith
Unchained from convention of limited vision
Following the quite whispers of my muse

Author notes

My thoughts while I was working through feelings and emotions.
Recently I had one work juried out of a art show ,
Because of the judge ,feels that all nudes in art
are demining to women. Never was this image
conceived or created with any thing but respect and love for
the beauty of the human form. My feelings where anger,
disappointment, hopeless feelings of being unable to show some of my better work.

So I have decided to throw out all rules and create from the abstract dyslexic visions that i have. This image is the first of a new direction of my art.
Putting together a two person show in the fall in a small gallery
that features edgy art .

Any thoughts are more than welcome my AP friends.

You are quite right, Human form is beautiful in all shapes and sizes, how much more, the body of a woman
Small minded people with no vision cannot see further to their nose, that is the problem
    Well done

I think it's fabulous. We are all creators in our own minds and what one views as racey, another views as beautiful art. So continue on I say. I think you are a fabulous artist in ALL senses.

I believe that one must come to this very point in their life to be able to finally know who they are...and what they are capable of achieving.

The sculpture seems to fit this poem so wonderfully.  Fragments of thoughts...pieced together to create visions...art brought to life so wonderfully.

Your sculture seems to be an extension of your inner thoughts...a collage of the many different aspects of self. Differnet shapes and textures, not unlike the soul itself. Created and formed from bits and pieces of the life we have lived. The things we have learned...and are learning still.

I love the way these two pieces of art compliment one another.

    Thank you for sharing this.

    *love*
