Darren once was fat, but now is lean,
And prisons tremble when he is seen;
His muscles flex, and the earth doth shake;
‘Tis but a dream—O Darren awake!
And prisons tremble when he is seen;
His muscles flex, and the earth doth shake;
‘Tis but a dream—O Darren awake!
Author notes
This is a little jest written to a friend whose chief hobby is working out, and who works as a nurse at a prison. When he first began working at this prison he was somewhat fat, but his work out has allowed him to lose a great deal of weight. He is now able to stand up to the surly guards and the difficult inmates.
