Don't Rain on Poem Parades

My poetry kinda stinks,
I know it's not the best,
but it's great at getting the things I need
off my little chest.

I strive to use this writing
as a type of release,
and don't worry 'bout the hata's
Cause I know they never cease.

So humor me for once
and don't try to write me off
as some stupid amateur poet
at whom you like to scoff.

An art form is an art
whether or not you do it well.
You never know just who might win
that prize we call 'nobel'.

So don't start now with all those waves
and hateful speeches, so...
I got the remedy in my right hand
so the disease will always go.

This is art, so enjoy it now
I'll be here for quite a while.
Pull up a chair and take a look,
I hope it makes you smile!

    Nicely rhymed, and I like the meaning within it. You're not alone, in feeling this way. I felt I was reading something I see in my own mirror, but usually I tilt my chin up and keep plugging away at the keyboard.

    I like this poem, I think you did well. Yeah, it's not deep or profound but not everything has to be. This is about fun and enjoying life! It's great!
