This is Both Sides of the Gun
“Hey paramedic, I really need a doctor!
This shattered wound is slightly seeping faster.
Don't put the ambulance in park,
(I'M NOT BREATHING)
Please tell me God
(I HAVE TO BE DREAMING)”
she screamed.
“The 911 call will show up 40 minutes late,”
and I said “What better way to end our last date?”
You told I was your “one and only”
Now I found out and we'll never be lonely.
I couldn't just end your life and keep on living
I couldn't give up everything and never be receiving.
You swore to God “I will always love you”
I swore to you “I will do what I have to”
Now rest your head, no more debating,
Just close your eyes, we're just waiting.
There is two sides, to every love story,
There is a lie, in every hero's glory.
There is another face,
blown away by the .45
There is always someone dead,
who should have never been alive.

Wow
I love the line "there is two sides to every love story..." very dramatic. I'm impressed, you're a good writer, keep it up! -
No
Just not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something that has imagery and poetic device. For what it is, though, it's not bad. -

Ok this is really powerful, i don't know what to say. It's written really well especially the last part. I love this bit:
There is two sides, to every love story,
There is a lie, in every hero's glory.
There is another face,
blown away by the .45
There is always someone dead,
who should have never been alive.
It concludes the poem so well.
Good luck in the contest,
Keep writing,
Holly.
