Show me some love
If even for a moment
And I shall show you my heart
My life, my reason
But only for a moment
For what shall you do?
If I shall say I love you?
Would you take my heart?
And would you give me yours?
I have tasted the world
That didn’t have these words
And it didn’t taste of anything
Where are my words?
If they are only words
Then why do they taste so… so…
Terribly uncontrollably irresistible
Like an addiction I cannot break
So please show me love
If only for a moment
And I shall get my addiction
And do whatever you want
Author notes
thank you zack for getting me started
what would you do if i say i loved you?

'I have tasted the world'
That line itself is pure poetry! Great job!

I really like your concept of showing love only for a moment—I especially like the line "Terribly uncontrollably irresistible" in the fourth stanza. It's powerful because it's so honest, and it reads in a rush. Nit-picky thing: In the second stanza, second line, the "shall" ought to be "should," I think???
