What does a dream become when its lost in the wind?
When did faith become just another fairy tale thing?
But through it all we must have hope...Shouldn't we?
What happens when hope seems to be chased away?
From pessimistic eyes and black hearted lullabies
I cant not seem to hold on to hope
Slips through my fingers like a rain drop in the sky
For when one is hopeful and dares to dream
Its easier to be crushed and torn from the seams
I see no joy or no good times coming
Alas a storm is brewing and its here to stay
Times are going to be tough, I can feel it in my bones
I long to believe that everything will be ok
For that is what they tell me
Yet they don't see it through my eyes
It is as black as death
And cold as a grave
There is not much goodness to be seen
When you are translucent to the world
My heavy soul is burdened with sadness
I can not seem to remove this
Dark abyss from my heart
For now I shall remain
Tragically lost in the shadows
Searching for my way back to hope

"What happens when hope seems to be chased away?
From pessimistic eyes and black hearted lullabies"
those are my two favorite lines.
what I like about this is even though, the speaker feels hopeless, theyre still searching for something to hold on to.
wonderfully written
