I am the answer to the question,
the one that you never asked,
as I was sitting here waiting,
my mind drifted in the past,
with the sentiments reducing
and the gulf becoming vast,
will my mind ever open
and return to you at last?
Never listened to a stolen whisper
that would wrap me in these chains,
I could turn it to the deepest hatred,
needles tapping your strongest veins,
you can say that I wasn’t thinking,
ignorance washed away the pains
but you never saw the slaves answer,
it was time for me to take the reigns.
It would seem the righteous action,
why didn’t you swallow me whole?
Maybe it would be the only way
for you to reach your final goal,
another empty scream for vengeance,
there was justification in my role,
could you live with the backlash
of all the choices that you stole?

Excellent
This is a very good poem that I enjoyed, "I am the answer to the question/The one you never asked."
It is very well thought out, and written beautifully. The rhyming was excellent and the idea of thought is excellent.
The thoughts that pass through our minds from anger to love strong to soft, vengance, help and care like the last poem I read. Hatred and pain wanting to have answer to questions that we ask silantly in our heart without knowing if we have got a reply to them or not C.S.Lewis "Till we have faces" the final part which is just a question and says (answer to my queston and answer to my answer)

I'm so glad I let you choose an earlier song. While a lil heavier than my tastes I loved the lyrics.
I think what you have written is amazing!
It flowed so incredibly well. And even though it is on the longer side I never once stopped to think: when will this end? as I have done with some longer pieces before.
You captured my attention and held it to the end.
I really like the lines

I feel that is something that happens in life a lot. Sentiment becomes nothing and we seperate ourselves from everything. Not sure if that is how u meant it....
