Heavenly Father is the gardener,
you, the vine that bears the fruit.
God will cut the barren branches,
close to the ground, save the root.
All the branches that bear fruit,
will be pruned with loving care.
Become so much more fruitful,
their branches never be bare.
You are clean because of words,
I have already spoken to you,
Always remain faithful to me,
I will remain ever in you too.
A branch can not bear fruit alone,
it must always remain on the vine.
Remain with me to bear your fruit,
flourish with this love of mine.
Apart from me you are nothing,
you'll be a branch thrown away.
Withering and tossed in the fire,
burned into ashes charcoal gray.
If you let my words remain in you,
what you wish for will come true.
Bear fruit to my Father's glory,
to show you are my disciples too.
As the Father loved me, I love you,
obey my commands, stay in my love.
I tell you so your joy is complete,
love each other, says God above.
Greater love has no one then this,
laying down your life for friend.
You are my friends, not servants,
we shall be together in the end.
Everything I learned from Father,
I made it all known to you too.
Go and bear fruit that will last,
love each other, I command you.

It always amazed me how easy you can describe you love for God, how strong and important it is in your life and ours, though sometimes we ignore it. This had a great message in it and a good day for the write too

Sometimes we fight the sheers of his pruning us back when we need it, but it's always for the best. He knows better than we when we need his attention and though it makes me angry sometimes to think he doesn't allow me total freedom, it's as a father who must direct and, sometimes, chastise the one he loves. Your poem fills this purpose, to deliver the message. Very good.

The rhyme is smooth, the flow and quatrain work well. The truth of this work line the hearts as reader embrace God's strength to prune us back to grow more fruit in his name. We wither without guidance to grow. Love given, accepted and shared God will harvest his seed to renew life in faith
