Out for the evening a dinner we had,.
with the company my husband worked for it wasn't bad
Everyone was dancing except us that night,
and his boss came over and told him its not right.
Get up and dance and keep your job today,
you have a lovely lady there embrace her this day .
He rose from his chair and we went out on the floor,
and when we danced I so felt my wings for sure.
I felt like a princess at the ball,
and the music playing and the spinning of the walls.
He lifted me up and whirled me around,
it was as though we were one heaven bound.
Sad it is what men refuse to do,
for a dance means everything to you.
They dont see it untill you pass on,
then would give anything to have
you dancing witrhin their arms .
One dance in a lifetime if he had only known,
that he made me feel as though I were afloat.
Never again did we have this chance,
but in my mind and heart I thank God for this one dance.
