Till' the end (sappy poem for V-day)

I never thought it'd happen,
never wanted to give up the past.
Until the day you saw me,
and made new smiles last.
I was holding onto memories,
the past that I regret,
You slowley took it all away,
gave me hope that i'd forget.
You'll never really understand,
all you've done for me.
You took my clouded mind,
and helped me set it free.
You taught me not to be afraid,
of you or any man.
And everytime I was so scared,
you were there to take my hand.
I never wanted to feel this way,
so vulnerable and weak.
I was afraid of saying those 3 words,
afraid of what you'd think.
And when you said you loved me,
you've never seen such a smile,
It gave me hope for my future,
for the first time in awhile.
Even if our world goes crazy,
it's none of our concern.
You have promised me love,
and I promised you mine in return.
So I wrote this poem for you,
my love,my best friend.
To let you know I love you,
i'll love you till the end.
