I’m beating down nightmares
with sugar and caffeine,
two days passed
and not a moment of sleep;
if only life was acidic,
a bath full of bile,
I could burn you motherfuckers
like I was dipping sheep.
I would love the silence
if not for the violence,
the tick-tick-tocking
of my fist on the skull;
an indiscriminate drive-by,
another lie that will fly
in the face of a thought
that I could never dispel.
I’m like sex in the gutter
with the face of angel,
a stifled definition
of a demon in lust;
committing crimes to reason,
I could strip the world,
if only for a moment
when I thought it was just.
I would love the silence
if not for the violence,
the tick-tick-tocking
of the thoughts in my brain;
underfueled and under fire,
it’s not my burning desire
to get things all twisted
‘til they’re never the same.
It’s all about the hunger
for a moment of safety,
three times dead
and I’m just starting to sweat;
if you thought you could stare
and think I was taking it easy,
I have a bullet with your name
and a means to an end.
I would have loved the silence
if not for the violence,
the tick-tick-tocking
of the lies I believed;
in the day, shadows shifting
as my thoughts begin drifting,
to a night where I can rest
without a moment of dread.

"I'm a beautiful breakdown,
just a barrel of bones
and if you look at now you might
see that I'm not right, in the head
and you'll never truly know."

Awesome you always write stuff that is gorgeous and so HATEFUL. So much so it suits my room very well at the moment!
