True to the stars

The smile on my face will show the grace.
The sparkle in my eyes should be no surprise.

For the milky way so far away.
Has grasped my heart in so many ways.

The thrill I get can not be met.
There is no way I will ever forget.

The splendor of extraordinary love,
the milky way has brought my way.

Memories of a pitch black night
will help the spark reignite.

 

This is when they are at their best.

Across the sky from east to west.

The milky way so far away
seamed very very close that day!

Author notes

This was a nice trip back in time . My hubby and I would go out around the house .....over to the side. We would stand arms around each other in a lovely embrace and enjoy the wonderful milky way.

    i feel like your talking about so much mre than just the sky like your just opening the book to let us creat our own feelings of what makes us feel at peace with the world i loved it its beautiful

    a good poem, ah love and the stars, yeah, the sky is a romantic setting, evoking passion from the soul and the heart. one day we will be out there properly, and new love will look in the sky for earth.

    I like this poem. The line "Has grasped my heart in so many ways" could be both a description of the milky way and your husband.
