You should have left me,
where I belong
not with you,
but completely alone.

You tried to fix
the broken pieces
of me that couldn't be,
they had to be left behind.

So leave my pieces
right where they are,
don't try to fix
what will never be.

I love you
with all of my heart,
but for some reason
I have to break again.
