the beginning of the end ?

There isn't a moment 
I have not tried to grasp the magic
Understand its power
And to recapture its glow

In the beginning there was a spark
Now absent 
A feeling of unsureness of our place
But yet
Anticipation of something to come

I have watched the years past
Taking the magic
And that glow now dimming 
Into nothingness

You once held my hand without thought or words spoken
Every step was jointed
I would feel you slip into bed beside me and you embrace followed
The trail of heat

We never needed to dough or wonder
All that need to be known was there in our eyes
And the want 
Consumed us both under its flames

I missed that
I miss the laughter we shared through tears
And the messages our eyes sent

I miss the way each moment defined us
The simple things that meant more then any gallant event ever could

I miss the way you looked at me 
That moment when your eyes first opened
And the sky turned to daylight

The crystal clearness of them as they saw me
The woman beside you 
It wasn't the color that tore at me and made my heart ache
But the clarity and honesty

I felt the tears you cried when our first fight ended
As you pulled me close and whispered you'd love me forever 
I knew the differences even then
That you were the one meant for me

When I ask you know why you don't hold me that way anymore
Or why I’m not as clear in your eyes 
You don't understand my question
Can’t see the strain of tomorrows holding me down

Your answer is the one thing you can not give me 
You forget the yesterdays and I hold tight to them
Wanting and needing that magic
Needing to feel it again wrap around me with your arms

Is it me.......I choke on the words unable to ask
Afraid of the answer that will come
I cry endless tears as I watch you within sleep
Unable to reclaim the man beside me

Every day it gets harder for me to remember
I have started to excepted the us we have become
And though I still ache 
I forget the reason why

When we say "I love you" now they are commitments made
A vow or promise for the future
But feeling love for someone isn't the same
As being in love with them

If you stop falling
Doses that mean it is the end of a lifetime partnership
Or the beginning of another part of the story
