Bleed In Me

I'll spill your blood upon me
Send the liquid flowing free

The color of your passion
Seeping warmth into the skin
In the most delicate of fashion
Soaks the blackness from within

The swirling feelings flow out
Like the leaking from a spout

I think I understand now
Your lips trying to form a word
To your crumpled body I do vow
Not to be the one who's blurred

I'll be the one who's clear
Forever with you, here

I'll bathe in your charity
Ever generous with your life
And hope that you'll start to see
Why I cut you with the knife

Your blood must bleed in me
For either of us to be free...

Author notes

I'm not sure. Strangely enough this idea came to me from my friend eating strawberry covered pancakes.
