I taste your lips of tenderness,

I sip sweet cherry wine divine

Entangle me in your caress,

my darling be my Valentine.

 

Press your heartbeat against Love's song,

whispering me the tune you hear

Earth angel be my love lifelong,

with faith in loyalty sincere.

 

Lay softly beside me in dream,

breathe into me hope's oxygen

Be the Lilly in drifting stream,

where pink petals flourish within.

 

Blessed be the soul in soft breeze,

faithful flutter of feather sighs

Baring my heart on bended knees,

awaiting lullaby replies.

 

Eye-lashes, sway sensual seas,

you and I, for eternity.

    I do not believe in Valentines day for the obvious reasons, none the less I see a good effort you have made here to portrait the male side of love and faith

    this is a beautiful poem. i like the background and how it fits the poem.it reads well aloud. somehow like it should be read to a person you truly love while on bended knee.this is coming from a person who loudly claims not to be a romantic. guess that tell you how good it is.

    Aaah excellent poem. I don't believe in true love but this poem made me all 'warm and fuzzy' inside. Though I just cut my toe open while walking and reading on my phone and it's just blood everywhere! -kinda dampens the mood- but well done!! Excellent writing.

    Deserving of the silver, but my screen is foggy...LOL, all kidding aside, this is beautiful, your wife is blessed to have a romantic husband like you that can write his own words. My husband would have to buy the cards that have this written in them, but at least he does tear jerker cards. I would have given a gold.
