Let The Rain Fall Down

So let the rain fall down,
So let the ocean sway,
So let the people in our lives,
Pass away.

And I, see your crystal blue eyes,
I see your smiling face,
And I would close my eyes,
But your still there.

And I believed you, when you said,
That you’ll always be with me,
So I lie awake, on my bed,
‘Cause I know your in my dreams.

So let the rain, fall down,
And let the mountains rise,
And let the earth stand still,
As it slowly dies.

You always said I’m strong in heart,
But you left me on my own,
And I lack the strength to handle,
The world alone.

And there’s nothing that I won’t give,
To hear you call my name,
But now the hell in, which I live,
Will never be the same.

But I let the rain, fall down,
I let my heart feel pain,
I let I let the wine, of love,
Flow through my veins.

You’re there, in all your favourite rooms,
You haunt my steps, and view,
My every longing move,
Begging me, to join you.

So when the heavens, shed their tears,
I look into the sky,
And I will whisper: have no fear,
Baby please don’t cry.

So I let the rain fall down,
I let the oceans sway,
I let the people in my life,
Pass away.

    i loved the flow of this and

    was my favorite stanza.

    This is a very calming and serene peace; even with the pain expressed from a dying love, you can feel the speaker of the poem calmly letting go of the love that maybe, just wasn't meant to be...

    Your rhyming and meter are flawless in this poem, and it was a beautiful write. Simple, but perfect. You are definitely a talented poet.
