Many wars have come and gone,
many soldiers have given their all.
Veterans from many generations,
still standing so proud and tall.
For all that they have sacrificed,
let our gratitude be felt and seen.
Our veterans kept our country free,
pride rings out from hills of green.
They fought hard for Old Glory,
they asked for nothing in return.
Only support fighting far away,
and always let home fires burn.
Whether air, sea or ground troops,
it matters not their name or rank.
They are all American veterans
fought on foot, sea, in air and tank.
Brave men, women answer the call,
whenever the enemy appears.
Thank them in prayers each night,
for a job well done over the years.

Day is done, gone the sun, from the lakes,From the hills, from the sky, all is well,Safely rest, God is nigh. Fading light, dims the sight, And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright, From afar, drawing nigh, falls the night. Thanks and praises, for our days, Neath the stars, neath the sky,As we go, this we know, God is neigh.
Please pray for peace, your combat veterans, and the defeat of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

A well written salute to all those who have served in the uniforms of the US armed forces. May they keep it in mind that they are appreciated in this cynical world we live in of misguided political correctness.
