Dreams Analyzed (Part I)

I’m walking down this hall,
I've seen this hall before,
And every time I walk,
I always reach this door,
This construction worker tells me,
There's work beyond the door,
So I just turn around,
And walk the halls alone.

I'm walking down the hall again,
No boy, no girl, not a single friend,
Just a broken heart that my brain can't mend,
Because confusion fills me deep within,
I'm at the door and the construction worker tell me,
There's work beyond the door,
So I just turn around,
And walk the halls alone.

I've had this dream,
Not once or twice but many times before,
Each time I've had this dream,
I've never gone beyond the door,
The construction worker always tells me,
There's work beyond the door,
So I just turn around,
And walk the halls alone.

But I'm tired of the lonely halls,
I'm tired of this dream,
So many times I've had it,
And I still don't know what it means.
Why the construction worker?
Why the work beyond?
Why is the door blocking me?
Stopping me from moving on?

Is the hall my life?
And the construction worker the devil,
Trying to block me from walking through the door,
That leads me to a higher level?
And if it is where is God to lend a helping hand?
Why do I keep turning around?
I just don’t understand?
Lord I need your hand!

Here I am,
Having the same dream again,
But this time I decide not to be stopped,
Walk right up to the devil,
And tell him that he can't stop,
A Jesus freak, Fanatic, Soldier for Christ,
You can't stop my life,
Christ put it in over drive.

So now I have the key,
Push the devil out the way,
I'm walking through the door,
No one blocking my way,
But in my heart there's a pain I'm calling on Jesus name,
This isn't a ball game,
I can't play it the same,
Oh my God please help me I having the dreams again!

    WOW! WOW!

This poem is so cool! I luv the repetition, the symbolism, the metaphors. I'll be honest, by the 1st paragraph I wuz slightly confused but by paragraph 2, I wuz like, "OK, now I see where she is going with this!" GREAT! I'll try 2 write another poem myself as soon as possible!
