A single stare into color changing pools took me.
Every single part of me; mind, body and soul,
Was no longer my own, but a part of something;
Something larger, more meaningful, more beautiful
Than the plain, simple existence I experienced before.
But alas, time passes and things change.
My rainbow of life could become my new monotony.
Spontaneity begins to follow a schedule, a routine.
The same tired ideas are tried over and over.
The search begins anew for something reviving.
I wonder where to begin my hunt
But before I have a chance to start
I am captivated by an enthralling excitement.
Like an intriguing book I can't put down,
I try to read the depths of your eyes.
How could I have thought to leave?
The very essence of my being is here.
Everything I ever thought or dared to dream
Can be found in those color changing pools.
I will bathe myself here forever.
Every single part of me; mind, body and soul,
Was no longer my own, but a part of something;

Author notes
My screen name is Hirestel.
This is an expression of a phase I see a lot of relationships hit, and I hope that I never hit with my boyfriend. You're so in love in the beginning, but at a certain point you lose that easy infatuation with and adoration of the other person. It's inspired by a show I'm in right now, where the lead character (who is married) is tempted by a seductive woman; but looks into his wife's eyes and falls in love with her all over again.
