In your eyes...

Missing image
Oh God

It is absolutely very peculiar
very startling when I look for you
with a light in my hand

precisely, when I know that
you are the illumination

maybe I am mistaken,
may be not familiar with the fact
belongs to you

however, I do confess  that
the beam of my candle is a lie and
a cause of my darkness

making me restful with my practices
which are the sin in your eyes

Oh God...

Prompt...

between a teardrop and a sigh. . .

We all have a brain which we use always for the betterment, maybe for our own betterment, satisfying ourselves that we are correct, and later we face that we were wrong, NOT only wrong, as well as, we are declared sinful in the eyes of God. We all have the brain, an intelligent brain, with our wonderful goals to make this world beautiful but even then we could not make it, despite our best efforts . We made all arrangements to make this world ruined by the power games, and this keep me between a teardrop and a sigh ...thinking that how to make our intentions sacred and enlightening as well...?

    Yes...

our best efforts to be everything we could be fall so short of the glory that is manifest in The Creator. When we think we can do something it's in our ignorance of the law of the Universe that He created & sustains & we only see the futility of our attempts in the end. Life without acknowledgment of Him & our need for His protection & strength is sin & we need to go to Him in a repentant attitude for our vain thinking! Fine write here my friend.

Faith has always beautifully bloomed from within your soul through your words dear friend. There is strength to dare enter the darkness with light for wouldn't the soul descend to the depths of total darkness and decompose? Said darkness may be strife caused by the self in the formal human earthbound recognized thing called "sin", but to behold this light in your hand means one is loved and that warm flicker of hope is enough...from the teardrops to the baptismal rains of forgiveness...and the sigh that allows the breath of God to enter to renew life with his never ending love ...your write is a beautiful gift - thank you...

Heavy thinking went into this one. There isnt a line I would argue with, as we all strive to just live, and forget on more than one occasion we are living for the betterment of others. For me, it's my children. For others, Im sure it's something else. I thank you for entering this contest, and I wish you all the best.
    Love,

As usual, my darling friend, you have penned a wonderfully enlightening poem. Indeed, we all have a brain but use only about 10% of its capability. Alas, we have an enemy that uses 100% to sway men's hearts and intentions, moves them to destroy instead of build: all because they think they can do it better than our Father God Creator. Yes, between a teardrop and a sigh. I feel this poem fulfills the contest prompt to a T and should, therefore, take the GOLD.

    Much luv & hugs, BonQ

Your words "with a light in my hand" are quite profound...for, once we claim the light as ours we have lost it. You are correct in your assertion that God is the Illumination, and we merely cast a shadow in HIS light...Beautiful write, my friend...Best wishes in the contest. Peace, Rhonda

Wow. This truly expresses the dilemna humans are faced with. We just can't make ourselves pleasing to God without his help. We all fall short of ideal. Glad I clicked.

Humility it is only way to God

    shame brings humility

sometimes we think too much as all God's creations are simple

perhaps if we still our mind and let God's wisdom guide us,

within all humanity is the flame of God, simply know yourself and you can walk with God. as our hand and feet are parts of one body we are all parts of one body, different functions that are all needed.

gorgeous write my friend full of humility

    God bless you...
