Longing

Every minute turns into an hour
    that i persistently push
to make the ticking of time faster

But why does each hour turns into an endless midnight?

How many years will i wait for tomorrow?

A single moment in time can stop and become a mortal eternity when you long with undying anticipation to be cradled in the arms of the future.

I love the way you have achieved so aptly the sense of endless longing and waiting in a few powerful lines. Very well done. Just my humble opinion, but I felt the poem could have ended powerfully with the line, How many years will i wait for tomorrow?
But I like your ending as well. Thank you so much for your entry.

its amazing how when we want something the time crawls. very nice way to describe a sort of slow agony.
