Forty words of Summer

Summertime...
brings Volleyball,
happiness, intoxication.

Baseball game, played on the
beach…
… bare feet.

...nonsense...
Bright and airy,
held her hand
with zealous,
in shorts and tan.

      Young, desired freedom,
              gained,
      in increasing increments .

Sunday…
bright, light,
omnipresent,
splendid, spiritual; reigns...

Author notes

this was a challenge...lol...at least I made it one!

I like this combination of your 2 poems. I love the short phrases - better than in the prewrites, I think. It brings a feeling of energy conveyed by the game of beach ball with bare feet! Also the last verse is good describing the spiritual context of Sunday. The title is good and the whole poem flows well.
