Neil's Bear

Missing image

I have a little bear

Who sits beside my bed.

For thirty years I have had him.

For he is the only evidence of the life

That was once meant to be.

He came to live within my life

The night before my son, Neil, was born and

He has had a special place within each nursery since.

So that his Brother and his Sister will always know

he was and is their older brother who watches

over them, from a special place in heaven.

Though his life here on earth was not meant to be;

the memories of happiness his short life

brought will always be remembered in

the bear beside my bed.

    this is good

I had a cousin who lost her baby.
and now she has three other girls
this is a touching story about a bear
I want you to know maybe later I will have another contest about how bears change our lives
    something different from this contest
bears and emotional value/it really is like a prose cause it does not rhyme ,
like I said watch for another contest about bears.

Whatever could I say about this as a poem? It is far too personal and meaningful. No words from me could say it right so I wont try. Sheila
