This emotion floods my body like the flavour of your kiss fills my mouth when I awake,
Wraps my soul like a flame retardant blanket over an oil fire,
Settles into my heart like dust falls after an earthquake,
Fills my eyes to shine as you I admire,
This emotion is me.
This steady song permeates my ears like warm water seeping into my rough hands,
closes my eyes like your gentil finger tips have done in times before,
raises my resolve like a broken soldier, deserted and afraid, who stands,
calms me like your eyes, gentilly drifting into my very core,
This song is me.
This air inflates my lungs, sweet like my sudden intake of breath at your beauty,
caresses my face as gentilly as your eye lashes tickled them as we embraced,
makes me giggle out loud and smile a slow smile just like when you called me "cutie",
it reminds me that even though I have by my own hand been disgraced,
I am me.
