Brown eyes
Black hair
If ever needed,
Know I'm there

Sweet thoughts
So pure
About this boy I know
Of that I'm sure

Longing
For his touch
Knowing that I can't
It's just too much

He trusts me with his life
Whats a girl to do?
He tells me everything
He doesn't have a clue

He calls me his best friend
He doesn't even know
Of this love I feel
This love I  never show

I'll be there
Until you're through
Until that moment
I'll take care of you

now here's a question to ponder: Is it possible to miss someone who is standing right in front of you?

oh, this was inspired by...well, read the poem. it was inspired by the person who I wrote the poem for.

when and after I wrote this, I was contemplating the fact that, yet again, I'd be alone for v-day. but who knows what next year may bring?

    I loved this poem, and to answer your question above, yes it is possible to miss somebody standing in front of you. I know thats how i felt when i broke up with my boyfriend. But thank you for entering my contest.

    I loved it...and to anwser your question, Yes it is possible to miss someone who is standing right in front of you. I could change this poem up by just a few lines and make it fit with a person that I like! Great poem thou! Thanks for entering!

    Wow...this kind of reminds me of a poem that I wrote. I like that you used short lines and simple words...sometimes the most beautiful poems are the simplest.

    The rhyme was a bit unoriginal, but overall this is a good piece. As for the 'Knowing that I can't' bit, well, been there, done that :-)
