Colour My World

Colour My World
©copyright 2009 Bonita M Quesinberry

Softly, I asked God to colour my world
by the spectrum's ev'ry shade
and all the hues of each one in between,
His brush strokes as I might bade;

then, He coloured me a delicate pink.

I looked up to see scudding puffs of clouds,
white against a sky of blue
'midst shades of azure to infinity;
at my feet, blooms in each hue:

then, He coloured me a shade darker pink.

I sat beneath a Mighty Oak for shade,
its green leaves cooling sun rays
to protect me well from the burning heat
on this steamy, hazy day;

adding a touch of soft brown to my pink.

All about me are greens, yellows and reds,
by heavenly graded ink
with all the hues of grace in between each,
as Love painted me faith pink . . .

TICKLED PINK!

    A gentle story this is, energized by the imagery
    of the writer brushed tints and shades of pink!
    The comfort of the green leaves offsetting
    the heat of the sun's rays bring reality
    to this peaceful scene.

    Love the climax of "TICKLED PINK."

    Absolutely beautiful!

    I love this Bonnie! And the border with the bench is inviting to those of us who stop by to sit awhile and view the colorful picture that you and God brush stroked into words.

    Isn't His creation lovely? I cannot help but think of Him every time I see the beauty that surrounds us each day. The same beauty I once took for granted. A fading sun, puffy clouds, trees, just the sights and sounds of nature. Knowing that He was powerful enough to speak those things into existance is motivation enough to keep the faith. I remember before my conversion my husband always wanted to go for walks. To appreciate nature and the beauty therein. I never wanted to go. I would stubbornly make excuses...lol. Now, I love it. It makes me think of our Heavenly Creator. Shalom and what a beautiful vision.

      I often wonder, darling Sis, how anyone can look around themselves or upon a baby's cherub face and still deny God exists. He is above us, beside us, behind us; all around us in everything that exists. Thank you for a most encouraging review.

      Much luv & hugs, SisBon
