Turning the light off
Snuggling into the cover
And slowly drifting off to sleep
You’re the first thought which enters my dreams
We’re laughing and joking
Lying on your sofa
My heads resting on your lap
And you’re laughing at me
I can’t quite work out
Why you’re laughing at me
But I laugh back
And gently hit you with the closest pillow
You hit me back
Causing me to fall off the sofa
And I lay on the floor
A laughing mess
You’re just about to lean down
And kiss me
Making the world around us disappear
When I wake up with a tear in my eye to the alarm going
And for the millionth time that week, realise it was just a dream.
