Decadence leads to grief
Indulgence begets retribution,
For all things there is a reckoning
When selfish deeds are rewarded.
Even the kindest hearts
Hide the darkest desires,
Even the purest faith
Wields a sword in the end.
Talk of forgiveness and peace
Is forgotten in the flames,
When the dark tides rise
All is washed away.

The mighty sword it is, and all we went through is not in vain, and what Jesus went through will not be in vain of course, interesting favorite and well interpreted. Blessings.
