We go through life
asking why,
but love is the reason
we live and die.
Love is all the soul
yearns to seek,
the only word
the spirit speaks.
We dry our tears
with the hand we hold,
heal our wounds
with a heart of gold.
For love we seek
rainbows in the sky
and plant our dreams
on the stars up high.
Only love lights
the candle in the our souls,
instilling hope and faith
to make life whole.
And we cling to love
the only tie that binds
the spirit and soul
and heart and mind.
