Maybe the doorman makes more sense anyway

Mother tell me what’s that sound?
The waves sound like they’re going to take me down
No one wants to save this drowning girl today
Luckily the shore felt like being nice and caught this stray

The path continues to lead me in a different direction
I really wish the normal world could make some corrections
The flowers finally stalled me long enough for a tune
But if I don't leave, I'll miss the beauty leave it's cocoon

Running, run, next comes the party of tea
I'm telling you mom it's fun with three
Pouring me drinks and wonderful hosts
Oh I almost forgot your unbirthday toasts

Now I was wondering around nowhere
But only wound up in more despair
I was about to tell you about my little game with the queen
But then again you should know she is very mean

Open my eyes and I see familiar ceiling
That must have meant I was only dreaming
Just like little Alice when she got hurled
I tried to escape reality and got a different world

Shame in all of that I knew I would have to come back
And maybe later again I'll go to the world for what this one lacks
But now to get out and get ready for bed
Maybe the better world will come back soon in my head
