Tendrils tug against nature's
Omnipresent plans -
Forsaking abandonment,
Lush vines engulf decayed flesh.
Author notes
Prompt: Ivy. Yayness.
RIGHT, sooo. I felt bad for not being able to enter your earlier contest? So I thought I'd give this one a shot, heh'. And, of course, I had to steal one of your incredible prompts, seeing as how it works into... like... a series of poems I've written in the past? Yer'.
For those of you that can't read, or just choose not to, this is a tanka. A defintion of a tanka can be found... HERE: http://shadowpoetry.com/resources/wip/tanka.html //Nodnod.//
And... well... yeah. This write is a tad dark, but I rather liked the way it turned out. It really feeds into the whole "ivy" thing I've set up over the years. ♥
Enjoy, my loves.

So...it's ivy curling around a dead body? 0_0; THAT'S AWESOME!
I'm totally kidding...but not really...but seriously.
This was really thought provoking, and I'm mad at myself for neglecting to come to your page this long. I'm already in love with your writing, so why WOULDN'T I like your poetry, right? Of course, right!
*waves a dismissive hand* Anywhoooo...I'm off to harass more of your poems.

Im confused...
Is it another language, or just big words that I don't understand, I wish that I could tell you If I enjoyed it or not, but sorry... I can't really understand it.
-
-
This is in the English language, dear. I'm sorry that you didn't understand it, but hopefully after I clarify you'll be able to?
Chlorophyll is the green liquid that allows plants to live? I would go into more detail, but it may only further confuse you. Suffice it to say that chlorophyll is plant "blood."
The only other word I think you might have had an issue with is "omnipresent"...? The word just means "every where at once" ... typically used to describe a god or some other all-knowing creature.
Savvy?

Homaigawd! -tackles before anyone else-
It has so many freakin' big words that I've never seen before!
Like, your vocabulary is amazing, Toria, how do you doo iiit?
UM, anywayyy...-looks up teh word-
...Okay...so there were only two words I had to look up, but whatever.
UM...this was beautiful. <3 You never cease to amaze me with your talents. You and Sadien almost make me want to start writing tankas again, but I prefer the other forms you and I used to be obsessed with. Lmao.
But yesss...this is very lovely, my dear. I really can't get enough of your writing.
Write more soon plzkthnx. ♥

LULZ. How do I do it? I freaking use an online thesaurus. X3 No lies.
I get so tired of using the same words over and over again, so I just type 'em in, click the little button, and pick one out of the many. It works out for the best most of the time.
Andddd... yer'. Saderz has really inspired me to write more haiku/tanka over the past few days or so.
I think that's all I've written, actually...
Meh'; whatever. They seem to be liked by the masses.
And I will write more; as soon as my Muses allow. ♥ -

Hahaha, I use wordweb. It's like a god send, man. X3 You are oh so creative with using different words. Yey you, woman. ♥
