Her gentle rain stormed through his mind,
and puddles clear had turned opaque.
They searched for what they could not find.
Soft wind that sings for lover’s ear,
and echoes back a tune she knows,
while ripples left in tension’s skin
mark unknown silence of his woes.
Yet calm of hers will soothe in kind
as rays unhurriedly awake
to open eyes that once were blind.
Now sunlight dances to her smile
as flowers open in the field,
while he drinks in the beauty of
the song of nature that has healed.

This is a beautiful song; a tribute to the strength of love and simple as a sonnet should be.

Your tercets are delightful and well done. Great job with the form and contest prompt.
This simply sings as a sonnet should. A delight to read and enjoy. Very well done. Thank you for this gem. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
