Two Feet From Salvation.

Worries, fears-
Anchor me
To rough ground.

Facade-
Artifical grin,
Then it seems
I could float
If I weren't so
Weighed down.

Reaching,
Attempt severing cords
Tying me to present reality.

Dangling between
Freedom and self-pity...

I've felt like this for weeks. I just didn't quite know how to get it out. It seems that I am so close to the salvation I crave, yet there's always something holding me back.

this is a very good write filled with a helpless pain i felt

,you shall never find true salvation within yourself until you can get rid your emotions and find the true peace that lyes in there waiting for you, because emotions are what holds us back, because even though there are the positives... happiness and love and what not, the negatives will always have their chance and find their way in,

keep learning and living and you shall find what you are looking for

You expressed that so well...the spiritual battle... and you know, what we all fall short...but keep trying you will win, I see it in your words, self expression is soothing to the soul. Blessings.

Girl.. im right there with you... this is a powerful write... I found my self matching the feelings and emotions with ones of my very own!! sigh im there too girl!!

    • Yeah, it kind of sucks lately. I have an oppurtunity to follow one of my biggest dreams, but I'd have to move states away to do it, and leave my boyfriend and friends behind... and I don't want to do that at all. But at the same time, I'm a bit mad at myself that I'm turning it down, even though in the end I know it's for the best.
