Is it the passage of all time
Forever Unending
Constantly gliding
Across our aging visages
As Father Time caresses us
Lending wisdom
Giving insights
Slowly but surely eroding our existences
Until nothing remains of us
But memories others have
Places we have gone
People we have met
Pain we have felt
Bliss we have realized
We can only hope
That there is something after this life
Anything, anywhere
To keep us going on
On and on
Eras and Eons
Seeing people come and go
While Father Time weaves our stories
Paints our portraits
Sculpts us like cool marble
Working and shaping us
Into what we are destined to become
Adding lines to our faces
Wrinkles to our skin
Grey to our hair
Pain to our backs
And adds love to our hearts
