Spring Is Here

I hear the wind whispers
In the oak trees
I hear the leaves talking
The humming of the bees

I see the clouds fluffy
Floating through the air
I see buds poppin out
In grandeur and flair

Spring is here, Spring is here
The birds sing so sweet
Come walk with me down the lane
Other lovers we may meet

I see the flowers, many in bloom
Fruit on the trees almost ready to eat
Dandelions with their little yellow heads
Butterflies flutter are such a nice treat

Fish in the stream, jump now and then
Rabbits are hoping around
Squirrels are scurring to their home
They just picked up some nuts from the ground

Spring is here, Spring is here
The birds sing so sweet
Come walk with me down the lane
Other lovers we may meet

Ohhh how wonderful your beautiful poem made me feel. I cannot wait for Spring to make her grand entrance again. Although we have been in the 50's during the day this week but have snow in the forecast for Valentines Day. Amazing imagery and emotion throughout thanks for sharing my dear and special friend, hugs Theresa
