Not a day goes by
You miss the smell of the history upon the wind
A day in Ole' Virginie
Nothing tastes of the same flavor.
Mountain peak from side to side
Luscious blues of high mountain peak
Grass as green as juicey lime
And history blooming in every corner
Take me to the cotton roads
And Jeffersonian planted homes
Take me to the Virginie life
When not a moment fades without the perfume
Of American Revolution lingering in your soul.
Sweet home Virginia,
Wildflower, meadow, and farming life
How I love Virginia
With violet waves of mountain range
Bring me to Virginia.
Back home to ole' Virginia

Thank you for entering. There was some good imagery in this piece. I'm actually whistling "Country Roads" now, even though it's technically about West Virginia, but meh.
