Fault Lines

This winter is cold and it seems I can't keep you warm.
This heart is black with shades of blue from this abuse.
I hate this night and being the reason that you cry.
"Maybe I was wrong," Is all that I can say to you now.

There is no forgiveness in your eyes,
Only a hate that consumes me like a fire.
I hate this night and the way that I hate myself.
I hate your eyes and the way they look at me.

Accusing glances cast, you can't see me the way I do.
I said I'm sorry, sorry for causing you this pain.
This fault line cracks and the debris comes pouring down.
I said I'm sorry, sorry.

    Heartfelt Hate

    V. good write, even if a bit dark. Good imagery and raw emotion.
    Well played sir, well played,
