What you go through;
Longing
for nothing but happiness everday
However
You're not sure
if this happiness is able to be contained
You walk along your own floor
Then drop
Crying;
Wishing for more
Not sure if anyone can help,
You're so numb
you can't even cry out
Crawling the rest of your trek;
You think this
is too big of a mess
You're sure if your trek ends early
You can then be happy
You'll then have no one to let down
You think this choice will
make everything better somehow
Struggling to even stand;
Not caring anymore
You reach for the pills
on the top counter
Then sink slowly;
Ever so easily
back to the floor
You're so sure this is right
No matter what anyone says
No one can help you tonight
Slowly but surely
each pill you pop
Until you feel even more
numb then before
Then you're head slowly but surely
Drops
The last tear falls
Not sure what to think
you clutch your heart
listening ever so closely
for that last heartbeat
Thinking it's truely over
You then see a light;
Your family standing over you
Love, care,
and somehow
a knowingness
in their eyes
You realize you're not dead
however lying in a hospital bed
Not sure what to think
you clutch your heart
listening ever so closely
for at least,
hopefully,
another heartbeat...
..."Thank God."

I am very sorry to hear that this has happened to someone close to you, life affects people in different ways I suppose, we can never tell what another feels.
