Wearing Words

Here I am
listening for inspiration
wearing words
within my mind
as I sit alone
within those afternoons
on through the year
and I smile
because my time is well spent
and I'm the one that has to live with the consequences
creating poetry within this world that we share
and yet it matters not what others think
as long as I find that satisfaction.
