My Pandy

Missing image
courtesy of photobucket

He was very shy
when first we met
more like a Panda
all curled up
like a ball

I picked him up
and it was love
immediately -
even his grumpy
side was adorable

We went everywhere
together - always
by my side
We played and
reveled in our
new found friendship

He didn't like being
closed in, and I
respected that
But, ah - he was
such a cuddly bear

Finally one year
I had to let him go
His dear body was
so worn from the
years - life has a
tendency to do this

It was hard releasing
you, my Pandy
but you needed
to move on
We taught each
other the meaning
of real love

And you moved on
to another adventure
Maybe with another
little, lost and lonely
girl but I will always
wonder if she can
love you like I did

A blue balloon came
to me one day
from nowhere, it
floated down to me
while I was crying
for you sitting in
my patio...

I knew it was a
sign from you
and this is what
it said  to me;
"To the one
who was once the
light of my life...

I am fine, and
I have been reborn
as a child in a new life
You must do the same
I love you, and know
that all is well"

I miss you my
Pandy - you were
and still are my
cuddly panda bear
- always...

Author notes

In memory of my late husband. He was my Pandy (bear). My late husband always reminded me of a Panda. He had the temperament
of one also!

Your write has a far different meaning. I was really enjoying reading until I saw who it was you were speaking of. Yours was the most special of all, in a class of it's own and far beyond a meaningless comment of mine. Sheila
