Alien Surprise

Wisdom comes in all shapes and sizes
and mine came in the form of an apple.
My friends from outer space gave me
and two friends these magical treats.

Sandra and Lily loved their apples
and said they made them feel
more loving to their partners.
I really do not believe them.

But as for me, when my teeth
first entered my apple
and the juice of it touched
my lips, something strange happened.

For it was then that I could see,
not like you do, but really see.
The colors were brighter, sharper in fact,
and the sounds could be heard very clearly.

A new state of mind for me
as the whole world becomes
something new .. around every corner.
Everything tastes new.. and fresh..

Life had just gotten better for me,
as I am now able to see, feel, smell
one hundred times better..
Humankind needs to clean up their act.

For I can see the harm to the planet,
feel it cry deep down inside.
It is dying and needs our help,
the air I breath.. could kill anyone.

So, it was a true gift
from my Alien friends
for that gift was
a closer connection to the planet.
