each page blurs

I remember
a beating of wings
somewhere dark and
delicate, like pages
dancing- each word
too animate
too daunting and
I realize
with the knowledge
of even one page,
I'll not know a passion
of this weight
a second time.

He who is light will flutter away
He who is heavy will burden the day
He who is saddened will bring others down
He who is gladdened will upturn that frown

He who is selfish will never share
He who is vain will only self state
but he who is loving will give and receive
and be left still with fragment when others do leave

In the end all leave but if we were fortunate to share during their stay
then even though we can never own them we will have a piece
    of them to remember...always

    I love your AN.

    "too daunting"
Ah - that phrase was so profound in my head; I kept repeating the word 'daunting' because the word 'daunting' is just well, freaking daunting.
